Second Grade News
October 5-October 15
Spelling: We will be practicing words with two letter blends. Since we practice the words for seven school days, this test will be on Thursday, October 15.

Reading: We will be reading fictions stories about "how can a pet be an important friend?" Our comprehension skill is identifying the character, setting, and important events. As you read at home with your child, please take a few minutes to discuss these aspects of fiction.
Math: We are finishing up Unit 1. Mrs. V's class took their test on Monday. Mrs. Wimmler, Mrs. Taylor, and Mrs. Rozeveld's classes will be taking their test sometime this week. We will be moving on to Unit 2: grouping by 10, addition, doubles and more. BE LOOKING for homelinks this week.
