Our genre is realistic fiction. Stories of this type sound as if they could
happen in real life and the characters could be real people. Our comprehension skill is character (who is
the story about), setting (where does the story take place), and plot
(beginning, middle, and end). As you read
with your child, please take a few minutes to discuss these elements of a
story.
