Reading: Our genre is realistic fiction.  Stories of this type sound as if they could happen in real life and the characters could be real people.  Our comprehension skill is character (who is the story about), setting (where does the story take place), and plot (beginning, middle, and end).  As you read with your child, please take a few minutes to discuss these elements of a story.

Sight Words:  By the end of the week your child should be able read these words quickly and easily.  Please post this letter in a handy spot (on the refrigerator, etc.) and have your child practice reading through these words a couple of times each day.
