working on in our classroom.
Reading: We will be reading a variety of fables. A fable is a made-up story that teaches a
lesson. A fable has a beginning, middle,
and end.
Spelling: Words with short u and long u made with u_e. Our next spelling test will be on Friday,
November 18.

Sight Words: By the end of the week your
child should be able read
these words quickly and easily. Please post this letter in a handy spot (on
the fridge, etc.) and have your child practice reading through these words a
couple of times each day.

Math: We are working on learning subtraction
facts. This is a great time to get out
the subtraction flashcards and help your child practice at home.
Reminders: We
return to the library this Wednesday.
Please make sure your child has returned all of his/her books so that
more may be checked out.
School dismisses at 11:55 on
Thursday, November 10 and Friday, November 11.
Please send a small lunch or healthy snack as lunch will not be served. See you at conferences!
